We Wish You A Merry Christmas

It was 7:30AM and 5 degrees outside in Taos, NM.

Ross & I had just loaded up the car and were on the road back to Texas after a few impromptu days of snowboarding.

I know I told ya'll that I was hoping to film for 'Navidad Bells' and WE DID on our second to last day ...but idk, something was kinda off about it.

As we headed out of town that final morning a mixture of the soft morning glow, the bittersweet feeling of bidding the snowy mountains adieu and my state of delirium from sleep deprivation/lack of coffee all came together and struck inspiration to pull over to the side of the road after only 20 minutes into our trip. I look rough, trip in the snow, my ukulele pick-up fell out, I forgot the words & greatly underestimated how frigid it was because by the end of the take I was on the verge of tears bc my fingers hurt so bad..hahah

I originally wanted to do a video for 'Navidad Bells' because it was the album "single" or 'Cowgirl Mermaid Christmas' because it is the album "title" but ya know what, this particular song is it for me;

The feeling of the year, my burn out, a mix of nostalgia, relief, yearning for fun with my friends and above all a surrendering to whatever sloppy mess life has been and whatever is yet to come. This rendition of We Wish You A Merry Christmas encapsulates everything I feel right now & the video seems to match.

I hope you enjoy!

Wishing you a Merry Christmas (eve) & a Happy New Year!!!
